2023 Italian Lake District and Verona Festival
My wife and I were privileged to have taken a Dean Dalton tour to the Lake District of Italy during 2023. It was, without a doubt, THE most enjoyable and comprehensive tour we have taken—and we have taken many. History: every place we went included visits to museums and historical locations with local guides. Music. A theme of the DD Tours is classical music and we experienced everything from al fresco opera in a colosseum to piano recitals using historic pianos. Hotels: Every hotel in which we stayed was 4 star and very comfortable. The hospitality and breakfasts were fantastic. Food: Dean’s wife, Zsofi, has this amazing ability to ferret out the most fantastic but unpretentious restaurants. In a word, the restaurants were authentic, interesting and superb! Itinerary: While the theme of the tour was a visit to an area of Italy, the itinerary was very diverse. We visited cities, lakes, museums, and locations we would never have found on our own. There was never a dull moment. However, there were possibilities for optional tours or downtime if we wanted. Participants: One of the best parts of the tour was the interaction with other members. It was an eclectic group, but everyone was cordial, knowledgeable and interesting. Also the group was small, so it was easy to manage and allowed good interaction amongst everyone. And Dean and Zsofi were always available. The Dean Dalton Tours fill up fast, but if you are fortunate enough to participate in one, it will be an experience you will never forget!

We've decided that Switzerland will be our last "across-the-water" trip. How can we ever thank you enough for the past 20 years of exciting adventures? Your beautifully crafted, creative experiences including friendships, unique places and gorgeous performances have been so eniching. Our decision to participate has been one of our best choices we've made during our 60+ years together.
